About Me:

My name is Ebrahim Almubarak and currently a student at think tank and focusing on creating characters for films. I have been passionate about VFX since childhood and I am exited to explore my own ideas and creations. My goal is to create realistic characters and achieve real life likeness character design in all aspects from modeling, texturing to rendering and lookdev. After graduation I will always strive for learning new things and improve my crafts to keep up with the film and game industry.

FInal portfolio ProJect

In the mentorship I wanted to continue improving my goals is to achieve realism to cover older age. My concept is Joel from the Last of Us video game. Also, one of my goals is to improve my texturing skills.

Advanced Final Project

In advanced term I wanted to tackle female character to learn its anatomy. I also wanted to remake one of my favorite character from The Last of Us game by Naughty Dog studio. At this term I am focusing on improving my texturing, lookdev and realism.

Intermediate Final Project

The intermediate term was a bit challenging with many technicalities and details. I have used a wide variety of software's and learned many things in a short time. My main focus was to be familiar with Zbrush and Marvelous Designer. My final term project is to create Nathan Drake character by Naughty Dog studio, where have been always inspired by their works. The main challenge was to make the likeness of the character in Zbrush and I have decided to learn substance painter for this term since its widely used in the industry. I have made a basic rig for the character to change from T-pose to match the concept pose. Grooming and character pistol was not finished due to the amount challenges that I faced during this semester. Many lessons learnt are noted for the next term and I will be striving for realistic looking game characters.

FuNdamentals FInal ProJect

Foundation term was all about learning the tools. I have chosen a robot concept by Matt Dixon which I thought it would be challenging for me. I wanted to tackle texturing early and learning Mari to ensure I have good foundation for the next term. I found out that procedural texturing is powerful but I decided to learn hand painting and using Mari node workflow.
